Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Amptronics collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you use our website or do business with us.
1. Who we are
This website, www.amptronics.com, is operated by Amptronics Systems Pvt. Ltd. (“Amptronics”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a company based in Hyderabad, India. Our US office is operated by our affiliate, Amptronics LLC, in Breinigsville, Pennsylvania.
We design and supply industrial IoT products: wireless busbar temperature sensors, controllers, gateways and monitoring software. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of doing business with you, how we use it and the choices you have.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to personal data we collect when you visit this website, contact us, subscribe to our newsletter, apply for a job, request a quotation or buy and use our products and services.
Where we supply cloud dashboards or monitoring software under a separate agreement, that agreement also governs how operational data from your equipment is handled. If the two conflict, the agreement takes priority for that data.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Enquiries: when you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone number, the subject and your message.
- Newsletter: when you subscribe we collect your email address.
- Job applications: when you apply by email we receive the details you send, such as your CV, contact details, experience and notice period.
- Business dealings: when you request a quotation, place an order or ask for support we collect your name, company, job title, contact details, billing and delivery information and records of our communications.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web server records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you request and the date and time of your visit. We use this to keep the website secure and working.
Equipment and monitoring data
If you use our sensors, gateways or dashboards, the system processes operational data such as temperatures, humidity, levels, flows, alarm events and device identifiers. This data describes your equipment, not you, but it may be linked to user accounts and contact details used for alerts.
4. How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiries and send quotations, product information and datasheets you ask for;
- to supply, install, commission and support products and services you buy, and to manage invoices and deliveries;
- to send our newsletter and product updates, if you have subscribed (every message includes a way to unsubscribe);
- to review job applications and contact candidates;
- to operate monitoring dashboards and send alerts by email or SMS to the people you nominate;
- to keep our website and systems secure, prevent misuse and fix problems;
- to meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
5. Legal basis and consent
We process personal data with your consent (for example, when you submit a form or subscribe), to perform a contract with you or take steps you request before one, to comply with the law, and for other legitimate uses permitted by law, such as keeping our systems secure.
We handle personal data in line with applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as its provisions take effect. If you are in another country, you may have additional rights under your local law. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
6. Cookies and third-party services
Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Some features rely on third-party services, which may set their own cookies or collect technical data such as your IP address when the page loads:
- Google Maps, embedded on our contact page to show our office location;
- Google Fonts, used to display the website’s typefaces;
- Google reCAPTCHA, where enabled on our forms, to protect them from spam and abuse;
- Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn, which you reach through links on our pages.
These services are governed by their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as the map, may then not work.
7. How we share information
We share personal data only where needed, and only with:
- our affiliate Amptronics LLC, to serve customers in the USA;
- service providers who host our website, email and cloud systems, deliver messages or help with installation and support, under obligations to protect the data;
- distributors and integration partners working on your project, where you ask us to involve them;
- professional advisers, auditors, and government or law-enforcement authorities where the law requires it;
- a buyer or successor if our business, or part of it, is reorganised, merged or sold.
8. International transfers
We are based in India and some of our service providers store data in other countries. When personal data is transferred outside the country where it was collected, we take reasonable steps to make sure it stays protected, and we follow any restrictions on transfers set by applicable law.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:
- enquiries: as long as needed to respond and follow up, and then for a reasonable period in case you contact us again;
- newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe;
- job applications: for up to 12 months, so we can consider you for future openings, unless you ask us to delete them sooner;
- customer, order and invoice records: for as long as the law requires us to keep them.
10. How we protect information
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls and encrypted connections where available. No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update inaccurate data;
- delete your data when we no longer need it;
- stop sending you marketing messages, or withdraw any consent you have given;
- address a grievance about how we have handled your data.
To make a request, email info@amptronics.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will respond within the time the law requires.
12. Children
Our website and products are meant for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other websites
Our pages link to other websites, such as social networks and partners. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies before you share data with them.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. Where a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
15. Grievance officer and contact
If you have a question or complaint about this policy or how we handle your personal data, please contact our grievance officer. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly.
